Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Senior Modem ATE Test Engineer in Sunnyvale to lead end-to-end digital test development for complex ASICs and modems. You will own pattern development, MBIST, memory repair flows, and high-speed SERDES testing, collaborating with ASIC design and DFT teams to ensure testability and cost-effective high-volume production.

You will bring expertise in Advantest 93K and Teradyne UltraFLEX platforms, drive shmoo characterization, and optimize test times while guiding junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in digital ATE test development and test engineering in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with complex SoCs and modem/wireless devices in advanced nodes (7nm and below).
• Experience developing and debugging test programs on Advantest 93K and Teradyne UltraFLEX.
• Familiarity with JTAG/boundary-scan, DFT/DFM, and digital test methods.
• Proficiency in high-speed SERDES test (100G+), including jitter and equalization.
• Strong communication and willingness to travel internationally for releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and release digital test programs for complex ASIC/SoC/modem devices.
• Build and debug scan/ATPG content and implement MBIST and memory repair flows.
• Characterize silicon performance and process variation with ring oscillator tests.
• Test I/O interfaces (I3C, SPI, GPIO) and optimize high-speed SERDES/HSIO tests.
• Convert test patterns to tester formats and validate on hardware.
• Lead device correlation between wafer sort and final test; reduce test time and cost.
• Review FT and WT hardware design, including load boards and probe cards.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices for test development.
