Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing class 7 & 8 trailers.
• High school diploma or GED; welding certificate a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Examine trailers to determine extent of damage or malfunction(s).
• Diagnoses, repairs, builds and rebuilds all parts of trailer equipment.
• Provide customers with preventative maintenance solutions when appropriate.
• Maintain 80% productivity and prevent comebacks.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test components to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot suspension systems (leaf/coil springs).
• Perform welding and surface finishing.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and service truck.
• Practice safe driving.
