Job summary

The Mobile Trailer Technician II role at FleetPride requires mastering preventative maintenance and performing basic to advanced repairs on Class 7 and 8 trailers with limited supervision. You may work in the shop between service calls and participate in after-hours on-call rotations when needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of trailer repair experience with welding, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; welding cert is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience repairing class 7–8 trailers and welding.
  • Valid driver's license; Class A CDL preferred; must provide hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Examine trailers to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
  • Diagnose, repair, build and rebuild trailer components.
  • Provide preventative maintenance recommendations to customers.
  • Maintain 80% productivity and prevent comebacks.
  • Perform lubrication and component replacements as scheduled.
  • Repair brakes, test systems, and inspect suspension components.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and drive safely.
