Job summary

NewPage Solutions Inc. seeks a Mobile Development Technical Lead to steer GroAssist and later additional Patient Solutions projects.

You will guide hybrid iOS/Android development, oversee code quality, and align with architecture and Agile practices across teams. Responsibilities include Bluetooth device integration, feature configurability reviews, cost estimation input, and mentoring junior developers while collaborating with an enterprise architect to optimize design and delivery in a remote,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience as a Mobile (iOS and Android) or Web Developer
• 2+ years of experience in Ionic/Capacitor hybrid app development
• Strong attention to detail, including writing clean code, and following coding standards
• Experience writing Mobile Applications that interact with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) peripheral devices using Gatt Protocol
• Excellent experience with the Agile Methodology, documenting requirements, and assisting junior-level developers
• Strong Experience with OOP (object-oriented programming)
• Extensive knowledge of at least one Web Development Framework (Angular Preferred)
• Experience working with JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSON
• Experience working with APIs (RESTful preferred)
• Experience working with version control tools (Git Preferred)
• Basic experience working with native mobile app languages (Swift, Kotlin, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Become part of the Agile project team and participate in scrum calls.
• Develop user stories with the team and take ownership of code quality for hybrid and native app portions.
• Lead and guide the development team to create a well-engineered app.
• Review feature configurability and establish best practices for development.
• Ensure Agile practices (Jira, estimation, testing, code reviews, MR, dev-ops) are followed.
• Contribute to Jira reviews and test plan reviews.
• Troubleshoot defects with the development team.
• Collaborate with the enterprise architect on overall design.
