Ford's Digital Product Design (DPD) team in Dearborn, MI seeks a Senior Mobile Product Designer to lead end-to-end design for mobile app features. This hands-on IC role includes cross-functional leadership across product, engineering, and research to deliver high-quality, production-ready interfaces.

The successful candidate will bring strong UX and visual design skills, experience with complex technical product challenges, and a portfolio demonstrating depth and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of UX/UI or digital product design experience, including designing and shipping consumer mobile products.
• Advanced Figma skills and a strong portfolio of mobile product design work.
• A portfolio that shows both visual excellence and depth on complex, technical product challenges.
• Experience using research, data, and analytics to guide and validate design decisions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage a defined project or feature area.
• A record of leading projects or workstreams across disciplines and influencing partners without formal authority.
• Experience supporting peers through design critique or mentorship.

Responsabilités

• Lead design end to end for mobile app features, from concepts to production interfaces.
• Drive design direction with Product, Engineering, and Research.
• Tackle technically complex problems for real-time video, commands, energy, and home integration.
• Identify gaps across customer experience, tech, and business objectives; propose practical solutions.
• Use research and product data to justify decisions and measure impact.
• Facilitate design reviews and raise questions, dependencies, and risks early.
• Contribute to Ford's design system and brand standards for cohesion.
• Provide thoughtful critique and mentor teammates.
