Job summary

Epic Games is seeking an experienced Mobile Platform Programmer to join the Fortnite Technology Team. You will design and implement platform APIs for Android and iOS, working with the latest Unreal tools to support a world-class engine across mobile devices.

You will collaborate with multiple Fortnite teams to improve stability, performance, and toolchains while shaping the engine for future hardware and platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ programming background.
• Shipping games or real-time visualization experience.
• Experience developing for Android or iOS.
• Familiarity with engine concepts and developer tools.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, large codebase.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Fortnite teams to solve technical challenges and improve stability and quality.
• Implement low-level systems that interface with platform APIs (memory, file systems, input, graphics).
• Analyze and optimize load times, memory usage, and platform-specific performance.
• Improve platform toolchains: compiler/linker, deployment, SDKs, debugging integration.
• Help extend and future-proof the engine for new hardware.
