Job summary

Topstep is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to help build our mobile trading platform using React Native and TypeScript. This role is pivotal as mobile is new to Topstep, with MVP-stage product shaping the trader experience and engineering foundations.

You will own features end-to-end from design to App Store/Play Store releases, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver responsive, secure real-time trading experiences across devices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience shipping production mobile apps.
• Hands-on React Native development.
• Experience shipping iOS and Android apps with store releases.
• Experience integrating GraphQL APIs, client caching and error handling.
• Experience improving mobile performance and reliability.
• A strong testing mindset with unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Ownership of features end-to-end and mentoring of peers.
• Clear communication and pragmatic engineering judgment.

Responsibilities

• Build Topstep’s mobile MVP in React Native and TypeScript with GraphQL integration.
• Establish architecture patterns, reusable components and practices.
• Own features end-to-end, from design to App Store and Play Store releases.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate trader needs into UX.
• Design for high volumes of real-time updates while staying responsive.
• Build quality through testing, monitoring, performance optimization and secure data handling.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and pairing.
• Promote mobile-first thinking across the organization.
• Support production, investigate issues, and participate in on-call duties.
