Job summary

TCI Transportation is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines at customer locations. This fully field-based role lets you work independently while delivering high-quality service.

The ideal candidate has 4–6+ years of diesel equipment experience, a valid driver's license, strong diagnostic skills, and excellent communication. Competitive hourly pay, benefits, and a retention program are offered.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6+ years experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile/field environment.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Must meet insurability requirements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated & Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and equipment
• Respond to service calls and perform repairs at customer locations
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete service documentation and communicate repair updates
• Maintain tools, service vehicle, and a safe work environment
