Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Advanced Cosmetic Enhancement Specialist in Southern California to deliver premium auto detailing in a mobile environment. You will blend technical know-how with creative finishing, following Rivian’s high safety and quality standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations.

The role requires 2–4 years of detailing or car wash experience, physical stamina, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Detail or car wash experience
• 21+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent recommended
• Certifications or Authorized Installers recommended
• Sales or customer service experience recommended
• Able to read and understand English instructions
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Stand/walk for extended hours, lift 50 pounds
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends
• Travel up to 25% as needed

Responsibilities

• Follow Rivian safety, cleanliness, and organization standards
• Perform post-service detail inspections for quality control
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors using standard procedures
• Apply compounds, polishes, waxes, and sealants by hand or machine
• Color/wet sand exterior surfaces and apply ceramic coating as needed
• Install, trim, and repair paint protection film
• Open and close work order lines in Rivian's system
• Attend meetings and communicate with detailing and cross-functional teams
• Build relationships with customers and ensure exceptional service
• Track services, monitor vehicle charge levels and condition
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
• Move, park and deliver vehicles
• Use PPE per SDS and EHS guidelines
• Operate buffers, polishers, steamers, hoses, vacuums safely
• Perform detailing tasks in mobile environments away from service centers
