Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Advanced Cosmetic Enhancement Specialist to blend technical detailing skills with creative care for our electric vehicles. You will work with high standards, collaborate across teams, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting quality, applying coatings, and performing mobile detailing. The role requires 21+ years, a valid license, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and travel up to 25% in Southern California.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years detailing or car wash experience.
• Must be 21+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent recommended but not required.
• Certifications or Authorized Installers recommended but not required.
• Sales or customer service experience recommended but not required.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions.
• Willingness to learn a wide range of tasks and technologies.
• Excellent manual dexterity and patience under pressure.
• Attention to detail with customer service and communication.
• Stand or walk for extended hours and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Self-motivated with little supervision and flexible hours.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for support.

Responsibilities

• Follow Rivian safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
• Perform post-service detail inspections for quality control.
• Clean interiors and exteriors per SOPs with various cleaners.
• Use cleaners and claybars to remove materials as directed.
• Apply compounds, polishes, waxes, and sealants by hand or machine.
• Perform color/wet sand, ceramic coating, and paint touch-ups.
• Install and repair paint protection film as needed.
• Open, document, and close work orders in Rivian's system.
• Coordinate with detailing and cross-functional teams; provide updates.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Track services, monitor vehicle condition, and maintain inventory.
• Move, park, and deliver vehicles; operate equipment safely.
• Perform mobile detailing tasks away from service center.
