Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Advanced Cosmetic Enhancement Specialist in California to deliver automotive detailing and protective solutions to meet Rivian’s high standards.

You will perform complex detailing tasks, maintain quality control, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires energy, initiative, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of detailing or car wash experience.
• Must be 21+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid in-state driver's license with clean record.
• English communication proficiency for instructions and information.
• Willingness to learn and perform a wide range of tasks; adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Follow Rivian's safety, cleanliness, and organization standards in all work areas.
• Perform post-service detail inspections for quality control.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors per SOPs and product guidelines.
• Use cleaners, claybars, and pads to remove contaminants; follow manufacturer recommendations.
• Apply compounds, polishes, waxes, and sealants; buff surfaces by hand or machine.
• Perform color/wet sand, ceramic coating installation, and paint touch-ups as needed.
• Install, trim, and repair paint protection film.
• Open, document, and close work orders in Rivian's system.
• Attend meetings; communicate with detailing team and cross-functional partners.
• Build relationships with customers through effective communication and service.
