Job summary

BITHGROUP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the MMIS implementation from initiation through deployment and stabilization, coordinating with state Medicaid agencies, CMS, and vendors.

The candidate should have 7–10 years of IT project management experience (5+ in MMIS/Medicaid), a PMP certification, and deep knowledge of Medicaid modularity and MITA. The role is hybrid, leaning remote, and requires strong communication to executives.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years IT project management experience, with 5+ years in large-scale MMIS implementations or Medicaid modernization projects.
• PMP certification is required.
• Deep understanding of Medicaid modularity and MITA maturity frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Drive the MMIS implementation from initiation through deployment and post-implementation stabilization.
• Act as liaison between state Medicaid agencies, CMS, vendors, and internal units.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with milestones, critical paths, and resource allocations.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues to prevent delays or scope creep.
• Guide the team through CMS Certification (OBC/SMC) processes.
• Monitor vendor deliverables for SLAs, specs, and contracts.
• Oversee the project budget, expenditures, forecasts, and variance.
