Job summary

K2 Space is seeking a Senior MMIC Design Engineer to develop high-performance RF and millimeter-wave ICs for next-generation satellite communications. You will own MMIC designs from architecture and technology selection through tapeout, characterization, and product integration.

Responsibilities include designing PAs, LNAs, RF switches, and performing EM simulations, with a focus on output power, efficiency, and robustness. On-site collaboration with RF systems and packaging teams is essential.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in RF/mmWave MMIC design in GaAs and/or GaN.
• Experience with PAs, LNAs, or RF switches at high performance levels.
• Strong RF fundamentals: matching, stability, noise, linearity, power handling.
• Experience with Cadence, Keysight ADS, and EM tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PAs, LNAs, and RF switches in GaAs/GaN.
• Own designs from architecture through tapeout and characterization.
• Optimize for output power, efficiency, linearity, noise, bandwidth, gain.
• Perform RF/EM simulations of circuits and interconnects.
• Develop test plans and characterize MMICs with lab equipment.
• Correlate measurements with simulations to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with RF systems, antenna, packaging, and IC teams.
