Job summary

Relativity Space is building cutting-edge rockets and a ground‑up HITL test capability to validate flight software against real hardware. In this hands‑on role, you’ll design, build, and maintain the ISP HITL environment and drive test automation across hardware, firmware, and software components.

You will own end‑to‑end test capabilities, develop CI/regression pipelines, and coordinate with propulsion, avionics, and software teams to ensure robust validation ahead of launch.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in test engineering for hardware, firmware, and software systems.
• Experience architecting automated test frameworks and CI/regression pipelines.
• Hands-on hardware and embedded systems experience with Ethernet, UART, and SPI.
• Ability to own a complex test capability end-to-end across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the ISP HITL test environment end to end.
• Build the simulation, data acquisition, and control infrastructure that drives stimulus into the system.
• Develop software fixturing, automated test frameworks, and CI/regression pipelines.
• Debug integrated failures across flight software, avionics, interfaces, harnessing, timing, and test infrastructure.
• Validate timing-sensitive behavior across sensors, actuators, payloads, avionics, and comms buses.
• Establish dashboards, telemetry views, configuration control, and test procedures for health and traceability.
• Drive final integration and test of flight hardware leading into launch.
