Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Embodied AI Scaling Foundations group to measure and visualize autonomous vehicle model performance at scale. You will design, implement, and iterate evaluation tools used by GM AV teams and data-scale stakeholders across the stack.

You will collaborate with modeling and data teams to connect offline evaluation with real-world behavior, contributing to faster, safer, and more reliable driving models.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in relevant field.
• Familiarity with backend/frontend technologies and data tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve evaluation signals and introspection tools.
• Develop visualization and metrics within the model evaluation loop.
• Help teams inspect model behavior and derive actionable next steps.
• Collaborate with Data, Infra, and Validation teams to connect offline evaluation with real-world behavior.
