Job summary

General Motors in the United States seeks a Senior Engineer on the Embodied AI Scaling Foundations team to measure and visualize autonomous vehicle model performance across the stack.

You will design, implement, and iterate evaluation and introspection tools, collaborate with Data, Infra, and validation teams, and help connect evaluation signals to data, training, and launch decisions. This role is remote with travel up to 25% and relocation benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Python, Node.js, React/TypeScript, Spark, BigQuery, and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve evaluation signals and introspection tools to shorten the experimental path.
• Develop visualization and metrics presentation within the evaluation loop.
• Help teams introspect model behavior and derive actionable next steps.
• Participate in design and code reviews with Data, Infra and validation teams.
• Collaborate with modeling and data scaling teams on scaleable evaluation workflows.
• Contribute to a cohesive evaluation flywheel linking signals to data, training and launch decisions.
