Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced autonomous systems analytics professional to advance evaluation platforms for AV development. You will partner with autonomy, simulation, systems, and safety teams to drive end-to-end metrics, dashboards, and insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in robotics or autonomous systems software, data analysis, ML evaluation, or autonomy analytics.
• 3+ years evaluating dynamic systems with time-series data or ML approaches.
• Strong Python production experience in cross-functional teams, including testing and code reviews.
• Proficiency with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and visualization libraries for large-scale data analysis.
• Comfort with reading and debugging C++ codebases within production environments.
• Curiosity to investigate anomalous data and root-cause discrepancies.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ownership of complex features or services end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement metrics to introspect autonomous driving software performance across the autonomy stack.
• Design analysis algorithms to summarize, aggregate, and cluster metrics from simulations and on-road runs.
• Develop ML methods to quantify performance and identify patterns across scenes and domains.
• Evaluate ML components in perception, prediction, and planning within the autonomy stack.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports with clear, explainable insights for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-organizational partners to share best practices in evaluation and experimentation.
