Job summary

Abnormal AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Detection Team. You will architect and build Model Serving infrastructure that supports a world-class Detection Engine, aiming to scale services to handle dramatically higher traffic and real-time data processing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Software Engineer or similar role with hands-on ML-engineering experience.
• Experience maintaining large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with real-time and near real-time data pipelines or streaming services at high scale.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists and product managers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows and serving at scale.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, deploy, and maintain Model Serving infrastructure for a Detection Engine.
• Own projects to scale model serving and data processing to handle 10x traffic.
• Build platform to fight AI-based attacks and support real-time streaming pipelines.
• Develop online feature serving services and ML Training platform.
• Collaborate with MLE/Data Science teams and translate feedback into actionable tasks.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design reviews.
