Job summary

Abnormal AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Detection Team. You will architect and maintain Model Serving infrastructure and own projects that scale our services to handle 10x traffic, while collaborating with ML and Data Science teams to improve velocity, precision, and recall.

You will mentor junior engineers, participate in design reviews, and contribute to security and data privacy considerations in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar, with hands-on ML-focused solutions.
• Experience maintaining large-scale distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with real-time streaming pipelines and data processing at high scale.
• Ability to translate requirements into actionable tasks and work with cross-functional teams.
• Security and data privacy awareness in data engineering contexts.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, deploy, and maintain Model Serving infrastructure for Detection Engine.
• Own projects to scale model serving and data processing to handle 10x traffic.
• Build platform to fight rapidly generated AI attacks.
• Own real-time streaming pipelines and online feature serving services.
• Build ML Training platform to improve velocity and precision/recall.
• Collaborate with MLE/Data Science via feedback and strategy alignment.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design sessions.
