Abnormal Security is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Detection Team and help build world‑class defenses against AI-based attacks.

You will architect and scale model serving, streaming pipelines, and the ML training platform while collaborating with data scientists and product teams. You will mentor junior engineers and drive real‑time solutions that enable rapid, reliable security outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience building ML-engineering focused solutions.
• Experience maintaining large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with real-time data pipelines or streaming services at high scale.
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to translate requirements into actionable tasks and communicate progress clearly.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, deploy, and maintain Model Serving infrastructure for Detection Engine.
• Own projects to scale model serving and data processing to handle 10x traffic.
• Build the platform for fighting rapidly generated AI attacks.
• Own real-time and near real-time streaming pipelines and online feature serving services.
• Build Abnormal’s ML Training platform to improve velocity, precision, and recall.
• Collaborate with MLE and Data Science teams and mentor junior engineers.
