Job summary

Robinhood is building an elite AI Infrastructure team to power model development, deployment, and observability at scale. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own end-to-end platform delivery, shaping architecture for model serving, the feature store, and training infrastructure, while mentoring engineers and partnering with ML practitioners to accelerate innovation.

You’ll collaborate across Data, Platform, and Product Engineering, with in-person work at Menlo Park, CA and Bellevue, WA

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering, with depth in ML infra, data engineering, or model operations
• Own and deliver complex platform systems end-to-end, from design to production
• Deep expertise in model serving, distributed systems, and production ML workflows
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages, with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Knowledge of modern ML infra tooling (Ray, Kubeflow, SageMaker, TensorFlow Serving, Triton)
• Experience with large-scale search systems and vector databases (Qdrant, ChromaDB, Elasticsearch)
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE, advanced degree a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and end-to-end delivery of scalable ML deployment, monitoring, and management systems
• Own technical direction for platform areas like model serving, feature store, and observability
• Collaborate with ML practitioners and data engineers to streamline workflows and accelerate experimentation
• Scale feature store for real-time and batch use cases with low latency
• Define observability standards for model performance and data pipelines
• Manage cloud compute resources (CPU/GPU) on AWS for cost-effective training and inference
• Contribute to tech strategy and mentor engineers through design reviews and hands-on guidance
