Robinhood in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for the AI Platform & Agentic Apps team. You will design and build the harness that every agent runs on, and ensure they act safely at scale with evaluation and guardrail tooling.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and collaborate with product, infra, and ML teams to take ambitious ideas from zero to production in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or ML-focused software engineer with strong Python and distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems end to end on frontier models in production.
• Deep expertise evaluating agents with trajectory-level evals, tool-call scoring, and simulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the core of Robinhood's agent harness — orchestration, tool integrations, context and memory management.
• Ship agentic applications end to end on that harness, bringing problems to production agents that act on behalf of employees or customers.
• Build trajectory-level evaluation systems to score how agents reach answers, including tool-call and multi-step task evaluation.
