Robinhood is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer for its AI Platform & Agentic Apps team in Menlo Park, CA. You will design the harness powering agents, ensure they act safely at scale, and collaborate with product and infra to ship impactful AI capabilities.

You will lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and help set technical direction for production-ready agent systems in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or ML-focused software engineer.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems end to end on frontier models, in production.
• Expertise evaluating agents: trajectory-level evals, tool-score, simulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the core of Robinhood's agent harness powering internal and customer-facing agents.
• Ship end-to-end agentic applications on that harness with real actions.
• Develop trajectory-level evaluation systems and guardrails for safety and reliability.
• Architect guardrails: least-privilege tool scoping, approvals, sandboxing, rollback.
• Make evals and guardrails products other teams adopt with SDKs and CI gates.
• Mentor engineers and defend shipping decisions with data.
