Job summary

Faire is seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Platform Engineer to own the technical vision of its ML platform. You will set architectural standards and lead cross-functional initiatives to accelerate data science velocity at scale.

As a senior technical advisor, you will architect scalable ML workflows, optimize cost and performance, and mentor engineers across multiple teams, with a focus on modern AI productivity tools and governance.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience building and improving large-scale ML or data platforms.
• Degree (preferably graduate level) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
• Deep expertise in Databricks lakehouse architecture and governance via Unity Catalog.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term architecture of Faire’s ML platform.
• Establish company-wide standards for CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Lead adoption of Unity Catalog, multi-workspace strategies, and data/ML mesh patterns.
• Architect scalable ML workflows using Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
• Mentor ML engineers and raise the overall bar for ML at Faire.
