Job summary

Faculty is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to set the technical direction for large-scale AI/ML projects and ensure production-ready performance. You will guide teams across multiple workstreams, balancing trade-offs and driving platform quality for high-impact applications.

You will lead delivery of AI-powered platforms in high-risk environments, defining roadmaps and advocating robust architectures. This is a senior, entrepreneurial leadership role.

Qualifications

• Expert in defining technical roadmaps and managing project priorities for high-stakes, high-growth environments.
• Mastery of cloud-native ecosystems and orchestration tools to automate complex model lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Operationalising AI/ML models with TensorFlow or PyTorch for scalable, production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable ML systems for production environments.
• Develop shared libraries and infrastructure for model deployment and lifecycle management.
• Lead model integration with infrastructure via APIs and services for scalable AI functionality.
• Oversee multiple complex workstreams in high-risk environments and define problems clearly.
• Define testing frameworks and model versioning to ensure reliable performance.
• Coach and manage multiple engineers, setting development goals across the team.
• Recommend adopting new technologies and AI frameworks to maintain competitive edge.
