Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager for Safety AI Systems. You will lead language-safety ML efforts, oversee production models, and guide a team of engineers across cross-functional partners to build scalable, safe experiences for the community.

You will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and push innovations in content moderation and model performance at scale to protect users and empower creative expression.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale ML systems in production.
• Proven track record designing, developing and launching ML models into production.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with language models or foundation models.
• Ability to mentor engineers and grow high-performing teams.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Data Science, Policy, Design and Operations.
• Strong understanding of ML modeling, data and infrastructure challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and execution of machine learning solutions for Language Safety AI.
• Lead and grow a high-performing ML engineering team and foster excellence.
• Translate long-term goals into an actionable, iterative roadmap with measurable value.
• Architect and guide development of large-scale language models for production use.
• Drive alignment on complex decisions across Safety org and partner teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Policy, Design and Operations to prioritize roadmaps.
• Stay ahead of trends in AI/ML and content moderation to innovate safety approaches.
