Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr. Manager, Machine Learning Engineer who leads technical teams in building and scaling production ML models.

You will collaborate with Product and Data Science to deliver end-to-end ML solutions, construct data pipelines, and apply best practices in CI/CD, testing, and governance. You will guide as a hands-on contributor and mentor other engineers, recruit top talent, and help shape a culture of experimentation and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in Python/Java/Golang/C++.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and ML libraries.
• Proven ability to deploy ML solutions in cloud environments and orchestrate with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product/Data Science teams.
• Scale multi-tenant platforms for large footprint model training and serving.
• Inform ML infrastructure decisions including data, features, and model selection.
• Write production-grade code, validate models, and automate tests/deployments.
• Collaborate in an Agile cross-functional team to enable big data and ML apps.
• Retrain, monitor, and maintain models in production.
• Leverage cloud architectures to deliver optimized models at scale.
• Construct data pipelines to feed ML models.
• Adhere to CI/CD and monitoring best practices for deployment.
• Ensure governance, risk controls, and Responsible AI practices.
