Job summary

Samsara is seeking an experienced ML Engineer for Safety AI to design and maintain production ML APIs, data pipelines, and edge-to-cloud execution for real-time safety features.

You will partner with applied scientists, firmware and full-stack engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable, reliable ML solutions while monitoring performance and iterating rapidly in a remote US/Canada role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a ML engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in one or more languages (C++, Golang, Java, Python, Scala).
• Experience with ML tools and deploying models to production.
• Familiarity with full-stack/backend development.

Responsibilities

• Design Production ML APIs to integrate model outputs into cloud apps.
• Build Data Flywheels to power continuous model iteration and evaluation.
• Optimize and serve model artifacts for platform workloads.
• Handle petabyte-scale data from cameras/sensors for model execution.
• Monitor rollout health and model drift in production.
• Collaborate with firmware, platform teams, and product managers.
