Job summary

Red Sky is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Robotics & Computer Vision) to own the ML core of a robotics automation startup. You will work closely with the CTO & Co-founder, build from day one, and shape the technical direction as the company scales.

This is a hands-on role focused on training deep learning models, robust CV pipelines, and integrating capabilities into a commercially viable robotics product with high execution standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of end-to-end Deep Learning experience from data processing to training models from scratch
• Proven track record of engineering advanced Computer Vision systems in industrial automation
• Advanced framework proficiency with modern DL tools including custom data loaders and loss functions
• Hands-on Computer Vision with CNNs, ViTs, object detection and segmentation
• Strong software engineering foundation with production-ready ML components
• Startup mindset: fast-paced, high-uncertainty environment with rapid execution
• Fluent Polish and English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Owning the AI/ML/Vision core of the product, aligning with the CTO & Co-founder
• Writing custom training loops and designing neural architectures (e.g., PyTorch) for end-to-end lifecycle from data to edge deployment
• Building MVP AI/ML components and managing training, fine-tuning, and hardware interfaces as needed
• Proposing and helping define the AI/ML stack and model architecture
• Monitoring AI/vision/robotics trends to maintain a competitive edge
• Mentoring engineers joining the AI/ML function as the team grows
• Translating customer feedback into robust AI/ML technical requirements
• Contributing to a culture of code quality, ownership, and rapid execution
