Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a software engineer for the ML Vision Team to develop deep learning vision models that empower autonomous robots. You will work across on-bot and cloud environments, deploying end-to-end vision systems and ensuring reliable processing of sensor data.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least 6 years of software engineering experience, with hands-on work in ML model development and production-grade vision pipelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of solid professional software engineering experience.
• Direct experience with developing ML models from scratch and implementing state-of-the-art vision models.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain state-of-the-art on-bot vision solutions using Python, C++, Docker, Kubernetes and other modern tools.
• Build on-bot and in-cloud infrastructure to develop and deploy binocular and 3D vision solutions.
• Design and build dashboards and metrics to monitor vision solutions.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, Linux kernel, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely data processing and deployment.
