Job summary

Zest for Tech is looking for a Senior ML Engineer to join their remote team. In this pivotal role, you will shape advanced agentic systems at a Series B backed startup where product-market fit has been proven. Responsibilities include evolving core AI platform capabilities and leading the development of scalable architectures across search and retrieval systems.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in building and deploying production ML systems, with a strong focus on software engineering skills in Python or Go, along with a competitive salary package that ranges from $170k to $230k plus equity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and deploying production ML/AI systems.
• Strong expertise in agentic systems and orchestration frameworks.
• Deep experience with document processing pipelines including parsing and indexing.
• Hands-on experience designing scalable distributed systems, ideally with Kubernetes.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve core AI platform capabilities across search and retrieval.
• Design and lead the development of multi-agent architectures.
• Build and scale document processing pipelines for structured data extraction.
• Drive high-impact AI initiatives from concept to production deployment.
• Write production-grade code and contribute to best engineering practices.
