Roblox is seeking a Senior ML Software Engineer (Economy ML) in San Mateo, CA. You will build and operate training infrastructure for ranking, pricing, and personalization across Roblox’s economy surfaces, collaborating with Marketplace, Payments, and Monetization teams.

You will design scalable batch and streaming pipelines, optimize GPU usage, and deploy models with robust observability and canary releases. This role combines research-minded ML with production-grade system ownership.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with ML infrastructure or ML-backed production services at scale.
Proficient in Python and at least one other backend language.
Hands-on experience training and serving deep learning models in production with PyTorch.

Responsabilités

Build and operate the training infrastructure behind Economy ML ranking, recommendation, and pricing models.
Co-design models and systems to improve GPU utilization and latency.
Design backend services and APIs to bring model predictions into Marketplace, Payments, and Monetization.
Build and scale batch and real-time data and feature pipelines with focus on freshness and correctness.
Own path from trained model to production serving, including deployment and experiments.
Make systems reliable with logging, monitoring, alerting, and on-call practices.
Collaborate with ML platform, data infra, and product teams to adopt shared infrastructure.
Contribute to technical direction and mentor other engineers.
