Roblox Corporation is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for the Economy ML team. You will build models powering ranking, pricing, and optimization across Marketplace, Developer Monetization, and Payments, shaping how users discover items and how creators earn on Roblox’s platform.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ML solutions, production readiness in Python/PyTorch, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience building recommendation, search, or ranking systems for a high-scale product.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in modern recommender architectures and in making them efficient to train and serve.
• Fluent in the ML lifecycle: problem to production deployment with strong Python and PyTorch skills.
• Experience applying LLM or multimodal techniques to recommendation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate on retrieval, ranking, and generative recommendation models that personalize item recommendations across the Marketplace and shopping experiences.
• Make models efficient to train and serve at scale with attention to compute, latency, and cost budgets.
• Own end-to-end ML solutions across Economy surfaces from data exploration to production deployment on Roblox’s ML platform.
• Develop models and policies that optimize pricing, conversion, and revenue while balancing ecosystem health and creator success.
• Design and run robust experiments (A/B tests and multi-cell experiments) tied to metrics like engagement and creator earnings.
• Keep production models healthy through monitoring, drift detection, and on-call practices for ML services.
