Job summary

Roblox is hiring a Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer in San Mateo, CA. You will build scalable ML infrastructure powering hundreds of billions of engagements and support models across recommendation, search, and content understanding.

You will work with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to push the boundaries of model training, inference, and efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying large-scale machine learning systems in production environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading ML infrastructure engineers.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Co-design models and systems, working at the intersection of model architecture and ML infrastructure, partnering closely with core modelers and product teams.
• Investigate data pipelines, distributed training, low-latency inference, and production serving; design efficient KV-cache strategies and GPU memory optimizations.
• Lead strategic planning and roadmap execution of scalable production-ready ML systems including model training, data pipelines, and feature engineering.
