Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the CX Intelligence Engineering team to design and build AI-powered systems that connect Help Center, chatbots, and agent workflows. You will lead multi-agent framework development, agent assist capabilities, and secure actions at scale.

You'll work on end-to-end ML initiatives, write technical designs, and ensure responsible AI usage with human oversight, while collaborating with CX and Engineering teams to deliver measurable improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping production-grade ML services at scale.
• Hands-on with large language models and generative AI ecosystem.
• Proficient in Python for production ML code.
• Expertise in NLP or related domains and fast ramp on adjacent areas.
• Ability to draft technical design docs for non-technical stakeholders.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy multi-agent framework for agent assist and secure actions.
• Own end-to-end ML project execution from design to production.
• Build AI-driven concierge chat and copilot experiences.
• Develop systems to detect bad actors and maintain platform safety.
• Establish best practices and mentor on ML development workflows.
