Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design and deploy AI-powered systems connecting Help Center, chatbots, and agent workflows. You will own end-to-end ML initiatives, improving automated resolution rates and enabling human agents to resolve cases more effectively.

You will build scalable AI-driven experiences, manage security at scale, and establish best practices for ML development while mentoring the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning and software engineering, shipping production-grade ML services.
• Hands-on expertise with large language models, deep learning architectures, and the generative AI ecosystem, with multi-agent/LLM orchestration experience.
• Proficiency in Python with production-grade code quality.
• Domain depth in NLP, information retrieval, conversational AI, or advanced statistical modeling.
• Ability to write technical design documents and communicate ML concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
