Job summary

Credit Acceptance Corporation is seeking a Staff AIML Solutions Engineer to own AI/ML products across the auto lending ecosystem. You will frame business problems, size opportunities, and define solution direction in partnership with AI/ML Engineering and Data Science teams.

The role requires strong Python/SQL proficiency, experience with AI concepts, and the ability to communicate ROI to senior leadership while guiding vendor evaluations and PoCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Business, Data Science or related field (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in technical product management, solution ownership, or business-facing solution roles.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and system design; ability to set expectations and decisions.
• Proven ability to own a product outcome end-to-end, from framing to launch and monitoring.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL to engage with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for AI/ML domains; translate business needs into AI/ML solutions.
• Lead discovery, size opportunities, validate need and feasibility before committing to a solution.
• Own the product roadmap and prioritization; demonstrate value of pursued work.
• Define success metrics, KPIs, and roadmap per product.
• Lead build-vs-buy decisions with defensible rationale; evaluate vendors and scope PoCs.
• Oversee solution lifecycle from problem framing to adoption and iteration.
• Monitor KPIs and translate signals into roadmap updates.
• Influence leadership with data-driven insights and articulate ROI.
