Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to drive ML/AI solutions from business needs to implementation. You will guide a small team of 2–4 engineers, define technical approaches, and ensure delivery with high standards for code quality and reproducibility.

You will translate business requirements into build plans, communicate results to stakeholders, and leverage modern LLMs and agentic AI to design scalable ML platforms. This role supports remote work across the United States.

Qualifications

• Deep software-engineering discipline with standards for testing, validation and reproducibility.
• Technical leadership of a small team, owning approach and code reviews.
• Delivery ownership with planning, sequencing and risk management.
• Advanced ML/AI knowledge across methods and modern AI/LLM approaches.
• Ability to bridge business and technology, translating needs into the build.

Responsibilities

• Turn business needs into ML/AI solutions by defining the problem and designing systems.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, and reproducibility.
• Be the technical point of contact and report progress to stakeholders.
• Lead a team of 2–4, assign work and mentor members.
• Own delivery plan, sequencing, and risk management for the solution.
• Communicate results with actionable insights to drive decisions.
• Integrate ML insights into business decision-making processes.
