IBM Consulting seeks a Managing Consultant ML/AI Engineer to own an end-to-end workstream, translating ambiguous asks into concrete designs and plans, and delivering with minimal guidance. You’ll ensure quality, guide junior engineers, and collaborate with business stakeholders to derive actionable insights.

You will shape AI-accelerated workflows, decide where LLM tooling fits, and communicate results clearly to drive strategic impact across client projects.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering with maintainable designs and solid testing/validation.
• End-to-end ML/AI delivery from ambiguous problem to deployed solution.
• Ability to frame problems, weigh trade-offs, and decide under ambiguity.
• Plan and sequence a workstream; manage risks and dependencies for on-time delivery.
• Use modern AI tooling, including LLMs/agents, to accelerate work.
• Mentor or review junior engineers and uplift team capability.
• Communicate results clearly to stakeholders and bridge business and tech.

Responsabilités

• Own a workstream from ambiguous need to concrete design and delivery.
• Design for maintainability with tests and validation.
• Design AI-accelerated workflows and determine where AI tooling fits.
• Mentor 1-2 junior engineers and unblock blockers.
• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and report progress.
