Job summary

BELFOR USA Group, Inc. is seeking a General Estimator to create and manage estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial losses using Xactimate.

You will meet with clients, develop accurate scopes, manage work through completion, and communicate progress with clients and management. Responsibilities include multi-sketching in Xactimate Sketch, adhering to BELFOR formats, maintaining schedules, and staying current with codes and safety standards while delivering high-quality, timely

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Construction, Restoration or Contents Estimating
• Residential estimating experience, Commercial estimating experience
• Successful completion of BELFOR Estimating Platform Level 2 user certification
• Successful completion of Advanced Xactimate training for Level 3 with 90% score
• English literacy and fluency
• Understanding of MSDS data sheets and applicability to jobs
• BELFOR Estimate Format Standards for estimates
• Extensive Customer Service experience
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional interaction

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-sketches with multi-levels and/or roof sketches with accuracy
• Create accurate scopes with minimal over/under scopes
• Create accurate floor plans and roof sketches in Xactimate Sketch
• Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes
• Adhere to BELFOR naming conventions for estimates and proposals
• Review budgets and communicate progress to clients and management
• Maintain construction schedules and coordinate with trades to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with decontamination and mitigation processes and related services
• Participate in BELFOR University training for Xactimate certifications
• Independently manage own work and maintain vehicle safety
• Complete all injury and incident reporting forms timely
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Support ongoing education to advance payroll compliance
• Contribute to Belfor USA Group, Inc industry leadership
• Comply with policies and standards
