Job summary

The Boeing Company in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a Mission Systems Test Engineer (Level 5) to lead verification and validation activities for a Phantom Works Fixed Wing Proprietary Program. The role is 100% on-site with opportunities to advance into leadership and cross‑functional collaboration across agile teams.

You will implement automated test infrastructure, develop test scripts, and perform lab testing of complex Mission Systems sensors, communications, and weapons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical) or related fields.
• Level 5 requires 14+ years with a bachelor’s degree or 12+ years with a master’s degree.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implement a test infrastructure to maximize automation using the latest digital tools.
• Perform Mission Systems verification/validation test integrating multiple hardware and software components.
• Support testing efforts of component and subsystem groups.
• Execute Mission Systems integration testing.
• Create/update and employ automated test tools and scripts.
• Work in a lab environment to verify interfaces between Mission Systems hardware and software.
• Define necessary lab infrastructure updates to support verification testing.
• Research technology advances for potential application to business needs.
• Test and validate system functionality and performance against requirements.
• Document hardware/software anomalies; report test metrics to stakeholders.
• Continuously assess and update engineering processes for improvement.
