Job summary

BlackSky seeks a Staff Mission Solutions Engineer to drive technical sales for EO satellite solutions worldwide. You will translate imaging capabilities into sovereign mission value, lead demonstrations, and guide proposals across international defense, intelligence, and government accounts.

You will partner with BD, Systems Engineering, and Account Management, scoping requirements, delivering compelling designs and responses while traveling ~50% globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years in solutions engineering or technical account management in remote sensing or space.
• Knowledge of EO satellite imaging systems and ground architecture.
• Experience selling to international defense, intelligence, or government customers.
• Willingness to travel internationally ~50% and learn regional export controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical advisor across international defense, intelligence, and government accounts.
• Translate mission requirements into tailored satellite procurement proposals.
• Deliver technical demos and responses to RFIs/RFPs for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product and engineering on field requirements and competitive intel.
