Job summary

Leidos’s Digital is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Mission Engineering, Modeling & Simulation. The role leads MBSE and mission engineering studies, develops digital mission architectures in UAF/UAFML, and conducts mission-level modeling and simulation using AFSIM, MATLAB/Simulink, and Ansys STK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field with 8–10 years of related experience.
• Experience developing enterprise and mission architectures in UAF/UAFML with Cameo or CATIA Magic.
• Experience conducting mission engineering studies and defining mission metrics.
• Knowledge of DoW MEG v2.0, DoW 5000.88/97 and their application to decisions.
• Modeling and simulation experience with AFSIM, MATLAB/Simulink, or Ansys STK.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DHS Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead mission engineering studies following the MEG v2.0 methodology and define the mission scope for informed decisions.
• Develop and maintain digital mission architectures in UAF/UAFML with MTs and METs.
• Apply the UAF grid across domains to create coherent, traceable views and DoDAF-conformant outputs.
• Define mission metrics (MOEs, MOPs, MOS) and ensure traceability to SysML requirements.
• Build and maintain architecture models using CATIA Magic / Cameo; validate and report results.
• Develop and execute mission-level modeling and simulation with AFSIM, MATLAB/Simulink, or Ansys STK.
• Integrate models into a digital thread for decision-making and VV&A per DoW M&S policy.
• Present findings to governance boards, mission reviews, and program briefings.
• Support roadmaps, ecosystem strategies, risks, and continuous workforce development.
