Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Engineering Specialist / Senior Engineering Specialist to serve as technical authority and team leader across mission-engineering programs. You will mentor staff, coordinate interfaces between customers and Aerospace teams, and drive end-to-end mission engineering solutions.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 6+ years in space/defense domains, and proficiency with MBSE, SysML, and modeling tools. Domestic travel <10% and TS/SCI clearance are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field.
• Typically 6+ years in space, intelligence, and/or defense domains.
• Experience with MBSE or modeling and simulation.
• Project planning and team leadership experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with customers and contractors.
• Willing to travel domestically <10%.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead architecture for modeling, simulation, and data tools; define use cases and ensure objectives are met.
• Lead multi-project efforts involving Aerospace, customers, and contractors; elicit needs and constraints for studies.
• Mentor junior staff and develop department capabilities.
• Provide strategic advice and technical leadership across mission engineering domains.
