WorkNovaX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a safety professional to maintain a strong field presence, working directly with employees, supervisors, and contractors to enforce safe practices across mine areas, process facilities, and shops.

You will conduct planned inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses, support MSHA requirements, lead safety orientations and toolbox talks, and assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field required.
• At least 5 years of progressive safety experience in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, or construction.
• Experience providing direct field support to supervisors, employees, and contractors.
• Working knowledge of MSHA requirements and practical application in surface mining and processing operations.
• Familiarity with critical risk controls, hazardous energy isolation, mobile equipment safety, confined spaces, and chemical safety.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a consistent, visible field presence working directly with employees, supervisors, and contractors.
• Observe work, discuss hazards, and reinforce safe practices across mine areas, process facilities, and shops.
• Conduct planned inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses.
• Support implementation of MSHA requirements, Life-Saving Rules, and critical risk controls.
• Assist with incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and lessons learned.
