WorkNovaX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Environmental Engineer to oversee regulatory compliance for air, water and waste programs. You will lead permitting activities, coordinate audits, and guide a team of employees and consultants on environmental projects tied to mine operations and site development.

The role emphasizes preparing designs, managing compliance schedules, and interfacing with state and federal agencies to ensure adherence to applicable environmental permits and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Hydrology/Environmental/Mining or other relevant disciplines.
• 10+ years of equivalent environmental permitting/site environmental management experience.
• Experience with state and federal permitting of exploration and mining projects.
• Competency in waste management, groundwater monitoring and geochemical processes.

Responsabilités

• Develop documentation and designs for permitting activities, including permit amendments and compliance.
• Maintain or develop permits and programs such as Air Quality, NEPA, SPCC and related compliance.
• Coordinate audits (internal and external) and address hazards appropriately.
• Review reports prepared by consultants, engineers, and employees; provide guidance to Senior Manager, Environmental & Permitting.
• Support operations and engineering reviews to ensure environmental and technical consistency.
