Job summary

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience or training required.
• MSHA certification a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience; college degree may substitute for up to 3 years.
• Vocational technical training and/or 3-5 years of surface mining experience may be required.
• Ability to work in rotating shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities of heavy equipment operators and maintenance personnel to facilitate production.
• Plans and schedules production and/or maintenance work using personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinates safety activities to ensure proper training and MSHA safety standards compliance.
• Ensures safe and efficient working environment and adherence to environmental standards.
• Performs administrative duties: time records, performance, attendance, and counseling.
