Job summary

Sawtooth Mining, LLC is looking for an engineer to conduct essential planning and construction duties for a developmental surface lithium mine. The role involves tracking production, managing schedules, and working closely with operations personnel and contractors to ensure efficiency during both construction and production phases.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, Geological or related engineering fields, and experience with project management. The role entails both office-based and fieldwork environments, so strong communication and problem-solving skills are crucial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining, Civil, Geological, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in construction and/or project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track production and construction activities against plans.
• Prepare equipment scheduling to maximize efficiency.
• Assist in engineering studies for regulatory compliance.
• Design and oversee construction projects.
• Provide technical support for environmental projects.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of computer applications

Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills

Familiarity with large earthmoving equipment

Knowledge of civil/environmental engineering applications

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related field
