Qualifications

• Strong safety background required.
• 7+ years in mine operations, open pit.
• Prior supervisory or lead person experience.
• Valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a strong safety culture; lead safety programs.
• Promote safety standards to deliver safe production.
• Conduct safety meetings and inspections; model safety.
• Supervise up to 52 equipment operators and set daily priorities.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver the short-range mine plan.
• Communicate daily objectives clearly to mine operators.
• Monitor activities for compliance with the mine plan.
• Identify training needs; schedule safety and production training.
• Lead incident investigations timely and thoroughly.
• Provide coaching and leadership to the operational crew.
• Develop cost-efficient mining practices and maintain records.
