Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Foreman to oversee critical mining infrastructure projects near Welkom. This hands-on leadership role requires strong practical skills, safety discipline, and the ability to motivate a diverse crew of tradespeople and laborers on site.

You will manage daily activities, liaise with mine engineers, ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards, and maintain thorough safety records and site organization.

Qualifications

• A recognized trade qualification is essential.
• 7+ years proven experience as a Construction Foreman in mining/heavy industrial settings.
• Strong reading and interpretation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and ability to motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily construction activities for mining infrastructure in Welkom.
• Ensure work complies with project specs, drawings and standards.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental regulations to promote zero-harm.
• Coordinate work of skilled trades, laborers and subcontractors.
• Inspect completed work for quality and identify defects.
